SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame junior offensive lineman Billy Schrauth has been named to the Lombardi Award Watch List.

The award is given to the nation’s outstanding lineman who best epitomizes the values of leadership, courage, performance and discipline on and off the field.

Five Fighting Irish players have previously won the award, including DE Walt Patulski (1971), DE Ross Browner (1977), DT Chris Zorich (1990), OL Aaron Taylor (1993) and LB Manti Te’o (2012).

Last month, Schrauth was also named to the Outland Trophy Watch List for the nation’s best interior lineman.
