FDA may not re-authorize Pfizer COVID vaccine for children under 5, CDC says

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) may not re-authorize Pfizer's COVID vaccine for children under the age of 5, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.

Without approval from the FDA, the vaccine would no longer be officially sanctioned. Doctors may still chose to provide the vaccine.
