The Detroit-set action-thriller "Motor City" — which features a score by Jack White — is headed to Toronto.

The film, which stars Ben Foster, Shailene Woodley and "Reacher's" Alan Ritchson, will make its North American premiere at next month's Toronto International Film Festival, programmers announced Tuesday. It will make its world premiere bow later this month at the Venice International Film Festival.

"Motor City" was shot in New Jersey in 2024 but takes place in Detroit in the 1970s. A TIFF description calls the movie "a cinematic symphony of muscle cars, gunfire, and heartbreak."

Ritchson plays an auto worker who is sent to prison after being framed by a gangster (Foster). Upon his release, he seeks out revenge in a big way.
