Allen Park — The leg injury suffered by rookie edge rusher Ahmed Hassanein in Monday's practice was "just a scare," according to Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell.

Hassanein is expected to return to the field on Wednesday for Day 1 of the team's joint practices against the Miami Dolphins in Allen Park. Hassanein was rolled up on after completing a pass rush in Monday's practice and sat out the rest of the practice.

"Ahmed should be out there today," Campbell said. "It was just a little bit of a scare. He should be out there working, which is good."

In other injury news, running back Sione Vaki is also expected to return to practice after not having participated since Tuesday. It's unclear if Vaki is dealing with the same hamstring injury that he suffered on the first day of camp, but
