The prosecuting attorney for the 23rd Judicial District has ruled that two Cabot Police Department officers were justified in using lethal force in a May incident that didn't result in death or injury, the Arkansas State Police announced Tuesday.

On May 23 around 2:55 p.m, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen Range Rover traveling on South Rockwood Road, according to a news release.

The driver, identified as Zion Jackson, 23, of Ward, fled from police, resulting in a high-speed pursuit.

Authorities had been looking for Jackson for more than a month in connection to the April 19 shooting at the University of Central Arkansas that wounded a student.
