Cornerback Ja’Quan McMillian intercepted quarterback Bo Nix during an 11-on-11 period to end practice. It was part of a two-minute drill with Nix rolling right to make the throw. McMillian made a leaping grab for an impressive pick intended for wide receiver Michael Bandy. McMillian is having a strong training camp despite competition at nickel back from rookie Jahdae Barron.

Position battle

Tight end: Evan Engram is clearly the No. 1 tight end for the Broncos’ offense. But filling in roster depth behind him in no easy task. Lucas Krull, Caleb Lohner, Caden Prieskorn and Adam Trautman were all regular passing targets during team periods
