MINNEAPOLIS — A Minneapolis Park Police officer was injured Tuesday afternoon while conducting an arrest.
Minneapolis Park Police Chief Jason Ohotto said the officer was responding to a 911 call about a man inappropriately touching children at Mueller Park. Shortly after arriving at the scene, the officer found the suspect in an alley between Bryant and Colfax Avenues. Ohotto said the suspect fought with the officer, and one round was fired from the officer's weapon while it was still in its holster.
Officers from the Minneapolis Police Department arrived a short time later and assisted in the suspect's arrest.
