WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - After posting one of his best seasons, Wichita native Gradey Dick returned home to host his second annual basketball camp.
Dozens of kids came out to Wichita Hoops on Sunday to learn basketball drills from the rising NBA star.
The Wichita Collegiate and Sunrise Christian Academy alum played basketball at KU before being drafted by the Toronto Raptors in 2023. This past season, Dick averaged over 14 points per game.
He said it wasn’t long ago that he was a young kid looking up to pro athletes and wants to use his camps to help be a mentor for them.
“To be back in my hometown is when I’m having the most fun, and that’s when I can show these kids what it’s like to live a pro life of basketball but also have fun with it,” said Dick.
