PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Longview murder suspect was found and arrested in the Los Angeles area, law enforcement officials said on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Longview Police Department, the Los Angeles Police Department arrested Alexander Lee Rogers after his BMW was spotted in LA on Monday. Rogers is accused of murdering 64-year-old Dawn Peters and attempting to murder 73-year-old Andrew Peters, both of Longview.

On August 5, police responded to Terumi Lane in Longview, finding two stabbing victims inside a residence. One of the victims, later identified as Dawn, was already dead on arrival, and the second — Andrew — was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

Witnesses said Rodgers fled the scene before police arrived.
