PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) announced that its AIDS Walk Northwest returns to Portland in September.

The CAP has helped raise awareness and support for those living with HIV and to remember those lost to the disease for nearly 40 years.

This year's walk will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025 starting at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. The event will be emceed by drag queen Poison Waters.

CAP emphasizes this year's walk is important as healthcare access and LGBTQ+ rights are under attack.
