FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A trial date has been set for a former University of Arkansas (U of A) assistant professor accused of possessing child sex abuse materials, according to court documents.
Joshua Eric McGee, 34, was arrested on July 11 . He pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child on Aug. 8, and his trial date was set for Oct. 9, 2025.
According to a preliminary report, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) sent reports to the Fayetteville Police Department (FPD) detailing alleged instances of child sexual abuse material being downloaded to a Fayetteville IP address belonging to McGee.
