CABOT, Ark. — A prosecutor has determined that two Cabot police officers acted in "self-defense" when they shot a suspect during a pursuit.
According to authorities, the pursuit happened on May 23 as Cabot officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen Range Rover that was traveling along South Rockwood Road.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 23-year-old Zion Jackson, who was wanted by Conway police on outstanding charges of terroristic act and battery in connection to a shooting that happened at the University of Central Arkansas on April 19.
During the traffic stop on May 23, police said that Jackson fled from authorities, which is when the pursuit began.
