As Steelers fans tune in to watch preseason games this year, they will be greeted by a group of cheerful Pittsburgh Public Schools cheerleaders. Their tagline: “Get the facts.”
The new television advertisement is part of a marketing campaign the district launched as leaders continue contemplating a major restructuring plan. It also comes as PPS is preparing to welcome students back to the classroom for the 2025-26 school year.
The goal of the campaign is to show that the “grass is not always greener” as the district works to keep families in the public school system as several school closures and consolidations are being considered.
