Nearly 200,000 toy kitchen sets have been recalled nationwide following the death of a toddler who became entangled in the product.
Backyard Kids LLC of Plano, Texas, is recalling 192,000 KidKraft Farm to Table Model Play Kitchens because of a strangulation hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recall stems from a February 2023 incident in which a 23-month-old boy died from asphyxiation after his shirt became caught on one of the set’s hooks while he was climbing through an opening at the back of the play kitchen.
