GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The South Carolina Board of Education has suspended a woman’s teaching license who is under investigation after officials accused her of grooming and sexually abusing a teenage boy in the Upstate.

Nicole Callaham, 33, turned herself in to law enforcement in July while facing charges from both Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and Greenville Police Department after a young man came forward with abuse allegations that spanned multiple jurisdictions.

Grant Strickland, now 18, says he was abused by Callaham beginning in 2021. FOX Carolina generally does not identify victims of sexual abuse unless they choose to come forward publicly.

Anderson District 5 confirmed Callaham was a teacher at Homeland Park Primary from 2017 until she resigned in May 2025.
