WILMINGTON, N.C. (WBTV) - A diver is showing off an extremely rare — and impressively large — find off the coast of North Carolina.
Christian Corbitt said he recently found a six-inch megalodon tooth about 35 miles off the coast of Wilmington.
Finding a megalodon tooth is very uncommon and is considered one of the ocean’s most prized prehistoric treasures.

Corbitt said he spent two days and one night searching the ocean floor. He also came away with 33 other complete fossil shark teeth.
