DALLAS — The Dallas Police Department is investigating after an officer crashed into the Jack Evans Headquarters building Tuesday afternoon.

Police said officers responded to the 1600 block of Botham Jean Boulevard about 4:20 p.m. for an assist officer call. When they arrived, it was determined that an officer had crashed into the building.

A WFAA crew at the scene saw a Dallas police van against the side of the building, which appeared to have sustained some damage.

The officer was taken to a hospital, though police did not release their condition. No one inside the building was injured, according to police.
