FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A business known locally for its work helping identify a woman who died in Fort Wayne more than 30 years after her body was discovered is working to help the Allen County Coroner’s office close its last cold case.

IGGNite DNA is trying to help identify “ John River Doe ,” who was found stabbed to death in Cedar Creek in April 1999. His body was discovered by men who were on a walk near the Hursh Road entrance to Metea Park.

John River Doe was a Hispanic man between 25 and 35 years old at the time, meaning he would be between 50 and 60 years old today if he were alive. He was about 200 pounds, 5′4″ and had dark-colored hair and eyes.
