WEBSTER, N.Y. (WROC) - It's been 30 years since the disappearance of 16-year-old Kelley Gaffield of Webster.
Despite moments where her case has gone cold, Gaffield's family has remained persistent in finding the answer of what happened to her.
Gaffield's mother Chris Reilly shared the memories she has of her daughter. She says she was soft-spoken and had a sense of humor unlike anyone else.
"She loved everyone, she cared about people and she enjoyed her friends," Reilly said.
Reilly explained how Gaffield spent much of her time with these friends, including on the night she disappeared. Reilly recalled their last conversation.
"She asked me what time to be home, and I said 9:30. She gave me a hug, a kiss and said 'I love you'. That was the last time I ever saw her," Reilly said.
