(KBTX) - Texas A&M international guard Rubén Domínguez has been granted a waiver by the NCAA for two years of eligibility, the program confirmed with KBTX Tuesday.

The 6-foot-6 guard joined the Aggie program after a year in Spain’s top professional division last season with the club Surne Bilbao Basket. Domínguez, 22, has been featured on Spain’s under-16 and under-20 teams over the last six years.

“What he brings is 3-point shooting from the time he steps on the floor. He can shoot it from half court,” head coach Bucky McMillan said of Domínguez at the Dallas A&M Club’s Coaches Night. “He’s one of the best shooters in the world.”
