SCHENECTADY — The developers of the Northside Village apartment complex are suing a Rochester-based contracting company for $1.2 million over faulty balconies and patios at the Van Vranken Avenue site.

In a lawsuit filed on Aug. 5 in Schenectady County Supreme Court, Albany-based developers Yates Village LLC alleges that DiMarco Constructors LLC was negligent in installing 85 balconies and patios at the affordable housing complex, which was completed in November 2023. The site, formerly known as Yates Village, was , and includes 300 units.
