LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Just over a decade after the Supreme Court ruled on Obergefell v. Hodges, the high court will decide whether to take up a case that could overturn that ruling.
ABC News reported Monday the Supreme Court will make the decision this fall; if accepted, oral arguments would likely be scheduled in spring 2026 and decided by the end of June 2026. If declined, it would allow a lower court's ruling to stand.
Former Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis brought forth this petition, according to ABC.
