MADISON (WKOW) -- A new solar project in Madison will displace almost ten tons of carbon dioxide a year.

It's going onto unused land, just south of Nine Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant.

They say it will be operational in 2027, making locally generated, carbon-free, and cost effective energy.
