BRANFORD, Fla. (WCJB) -For the first time in decades, the Branford Fire Department is unveiling a brand-new fire truck.
This morning, fire rescue personnel, local football players, and residents participated in the official push-in ceremony to welcome the new engine.
While the truck stands out for its bold orange and blue colors, it raises a question: why isn’t it the traditional red?
Robert Yates, Branford Fire Chief, said, “We support our school, we support our town. When you see a fire truck in orange and blue, you’ll know it’s Branford, and that’s something the community can take pride in.”
This marks the first new fire truck purchased by the department since 1981.
