Four law enforcement officers from across the state of Idaho were recognized Tuesday in this year’s Idaho Medal of Honor ceremony.

Recipients were honored in the Lincoln Auditorium of the Idaho State Capitol by Attorney General Raúl Labrador.

Nominees are considered each year by the State of Idaho Medal of Honor Commission, which awards law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency medical service (EMS) members based upon “exceptional meritorious conduct” that occurred while they were on duty, acting in an official capacity and may have resulted in either death or serious injury.
