ANN ARBOR — In less than two weeks, Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore will name the Wolverines’ starting quarterback.

Moore fielded plenty of questions Tuesday about the quarterback competition and mostly freshman Bryce Underwood, but he did not offer much in terms of who has separated themselves and has the lead.

However, Moore did say he will publicly name the starter Aug. 25, the Monday ahead of the Wolverines’ Aug. 30 season opener against New Mexico at Michigan Stadium.

“Set your clocks,” Moore said, smiling.

Moore said he will inform the team who the starter is before he makes it publicly known.

“The quarterbacks have been great, much improved, playing at a really good level,” Moore said. “We’ll see where it goes. I know you guys want to know who the quarterback is. I’ll tell y
