The “Bucking HEMI” bull ride allegedly stolen Saturday at the end of Roadkill Nights in Pontiac is safe and sound, according to Oakland County sheriff’s officials.
Ram, the Stellantis NV truck brand, showcased its new thrill ride, a black-and-silver mechanical bull shaped like a Hemi V-8 engine, during the annual street-racing event in downtown Pontiac. At the end of the event, company officials said the $34,000 ride had disappeared.
“This is bull—-,” Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis said in a news release.
But Sheriff Michael Bouchard said detectives quickly learned nothing was stolen: Company officials had the mechanical bull.
“The company never actually lost the bull,” Bouchard said. “I find this to be very frustrating and a tremendous waste of valuable investigative time.”
