Coventry Live readers are mainly unhappy to hear that average speed cameras are now live on six major Coventry routes, targeting improved road safety and reduced speeding. The monitored 30mph roads are Moseley Avenue, Four Pounds Avenue, Wheelwright Lane, Holbrook Lane, Aldermans Green Road, and Parrotts Grove.
Coventry City Council , working with West Midlands Police , chose these locations based on safety concerns. Transport for West Midlands says similar schemes in the city have already cut personal injury crashes by 40 per cent.
