SIOUX FALLS, SD (Dakota News Now) -The Sioux Falls Little League team is in Williamsport, PA for the World Series with their first game Thursday night.

It’s the 4th team in 8 years from Sioux Falls to make it this far.

And the help prior coaches have given Ryan Vavruska has been invaluable. Especially when it comes to building a strong pitching staff.

Ryan Vavruska, SFLL Coach says, “Yeah it is. That was something I was told from prior coaches, Mike Gorsett, Nick Kortan, Jeff Riley. They’ve all been very good behind the scenes kind of coaching me up as to this is what you need, this is how many you need. So you need 2 or 3 horses at the top of your pitching staff to make a really long run and I think we have what it takes to get that to happen.”
