MOAB — A man was arrested in Moab early Tuesday after allegedly ramming two sheriff’s patrol vehicles while trying to escape in his own car.
Flying Eagle Lee, 39, was booked into the Grand County Jail for investigation of assault on a police officer, failing to stop for police, DUI, interfering with police, having an open container of alcohol in the car and two other misdemeanor crimes.
Just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, Grand County sheriff’s deputies were called to a trailer park in Moab where a man was driving recklessly in the parking lot. When two deputies arrived, Lee refused to pull over and drove off, sideswiping a parked vehicle in the process, according to a police booking affidavit.
