BRAWLEY — On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at approximately 5:27 p.m., a license plate reader alert notified the Brawley Police Department of a stolen vehicle out of Riverside, California, entering the city. Officers quickly canvassed the area and located the vehicle at 600 S. Brawley Avenue, occupied by two men.

The Brawley Police Department announced that a high-risk vehicle stop was initiated, and both suspects were taken into custody without incident. During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered multiple cashier’s checks valued at more than $28,000.

The men were arrested and booked into jail on charges of conspiracy, possession of a stolen vehicle, and check fraud.
