We continue to monitor scattered showers and thunderstorms that have developed in advance of a cold front that will move through the area. These storms could bring locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds, so we'll be watching for any potential impacts from that. There were earlier reports of damaging thunderstorm wind gusts of 50 mph plus in and around Rensselaer.
As we move through the evening and into the overnight hours, the forecast models suggest that any remaining storm activity should push east, leaving us with a generally quieter atmosphere. We're predicting patchy fog could develop in some areas later tonight, especially in locations that saw rain earlier.
As we head into tomorrow, we expect a much different picture, with mainly sunny skies and a high near a pleasant 85 degrees.
