Rain Chances This Week It’s another classic August day in Houston — warm, muggy, and with the chance of a few pop-up storms. The morning will start fairly quiet, but by afternoon we could see showers and storms bubbling up, first along the coast, then drifting inland. They won’t cover the whole area, but if you get caught under one, expect a quick soaking, some gusty wind, and maybe a clap or two of thunder. Keep the umbrella or rain jacket close if you’re headed out later today.
