Hot and more humid today. Temperatures will top the upper 80s and low 90s while dewpoints climb into the 70s. Some showers and storms will start to fire up after 3 PM. I think most of the action will be around dinnertime. There is a chance a few storms could become strong/severe with heavy rain, frequent lightning, and gusty winds. Another chance of thundershowers tomorrow before we dry out nicely Friday and Saturday.

Tropical Storm Erin is moving across the Atlantic. It should become a hurricane tomorrow or Friday, then possibly a major hurricane by this weekend. The track takes Erin just north of the Leeward Islands and Puerto Rico. From there, the hope is Erin will pivot around the Bermuda High and go back out to sea.
