CHAPEL HILL — Chase Rice , a country music singer and former UNC football player, will kick off the Tar Heels’ pregame concert series at the first home game of the 2025 season.
The inaugural “Chapel Hill Concert Series,” spearheaded by The Rams Club, starts two hours before each of UNC’s six games at Kenan Stadium in head coach Bill Belichick’s debut season.
That means Rice will take the stage in front of Wilson Library and perform a free concert around 6 p.m. on Sept. 1 before the Tar Heels ’ home opener against TCU (8 p.m., ESPN). A member of the UNC football team from 2005-08, Rice has sold more than 2.8 million albums and reached over 3 billion streams of his music.
