Styx, Kevin Cronin and Don Felder aren’t kidding as they tour this summer as the Brotherhood of Rock.
“Y’know, we’ve all played together in one shuffle or another for years,” notes Styx’s Tommy Shaw, “so it’s like a homecoming with all of us together. It’s a very friendly place backstage, and it’s just a fun gig. There’s no drama.”
All three acts have plenty going on in conjunction with the tour. Though playing its triple-platinum 1977 album “The Grand Illusion” in its entirety this summer, Styx also released a new album, “Circling From Above,” last month. It’s the third produced by guitarist Will Evankovich, who’s celebrating his 10th anniversary of working with the band.
