CHARLESTON — The last man charged in a cross-country drug trafficking operation out of North Charleston is going to prison for the drugs prosecutors said he supplied.

U.S. District Judge Bruce Howe Hendricks sentenced Angel Joaquin Daniel Flores, 34, to 10 years in federal prison on Aug. 11. Flores pleaded guilty in October to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribution of controlled substances.

The end of Flores’ case signaled finality in the three-year prosecution of a breakup of what the South Carolina U.S. Attorney’s Office said was a drug organization that operated from North Charleston.
