Man hospitalised after crash involving car and cyclist

A man was taken to hospital following a crash involving a car and a bicycle in Yate , police say.

The incident was reported just after 3.40pm on Tuesday, August 12, at Station Road close to Yate railway station. The road was briefly closed as emergency services attended.

Traffic reports at the time of the crash said: "A432 Badminton Road in both directions blocked, slow traffic due to accident between The Train Station and North Road."

And now, a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police has said: "At 3.41pm yesterday (12 August) we received a report of a collision involving a car and a cyclist on Station Road in Yate.

"The road was briefly closed to allow emergency services to respond, and was reopened at 5.15pm.
