WAYNESVILLE, Mo. (KY3) - Pulaski, Laclede, Texas, and Phelps Counties make up the Fort Leonard Wood region, an area notable for its ties to the only army installation in the state.
But it’s not just those four counties that are so closely tied to Fort Leonard Wood. The installation is the fifth-largest employer in Missouri, generating over $2 billion in revenue for the state each year.
The Sustainable Ozarks Partnership helps keep these stats going up by promoting the community around the installation and national defense as a whole.
This year’s meeting theme is “Navigating Change: Opportunities and Challenges,” so the speakers—including Governor Mike Kehoe and Representative Mark Alford—will discuss how to capitalize on the future.
