MADISON COUNTY, Ill. - The Edwardsville School District #7 is set to welcome students back on Wednesday, Aug. 20, with district-wide safety upgrades and new additions to schools.

Over the summer, the Edwardsville School District focused on safety, growth and improvements. One of the district's new additions is the installation of secure double-entry vestibules at all 13 school buildings.

The district brought new additions to Edwardsville High School, increasing the commons area by 8,000 square feet, allowing it to accommodate more than 900 students at a time. Additionally, Lincoln Middle School will introduce a new section of the school while renovations continue on the original part of the building.
