Karen Read and the owners of two Canton, Massachusetts, bars have moved to dismiss some of the counts against her in the civil wrongful death case filed against them by the family of John O'Keefe .

Read's legal team indicated in court they would make the filing last month , though she's not moving to dismiss the entire case. Instead, her team is arguing, in paperwork filed Tuesday, that the court can't grant relief to O'Keefe's family on their charge of negligent and/or reckless infliction of emotional distress.
