As Dale County enters the 2025 season, head coach Evan Ballard sees things half empty and half full for his Warriors in returning talent.
“We graduated a lot of seniors from last year’s team – not just a lot of seniors, but a lot of guys that played a lot of minutes,” Ballard said. “We do have a lot of guys coming back too that played a lot of minutes.
“Our biggest thing are guys stepping into new roles, whether it be leadership roles or guys stepping into more playing time roles. We have to figure out how to excel in our roles.”
The Warriors return five starters on offense and seven on defense off last year’s team that was the best at the school in 10 years. They finished 8-3, won the Class 4A, Region 2 title and hosted a first-round state playoff game. The record was the best since 20
