GREENVILLE, S.C. —

Supporters for Anakin's Trail's Stray and Pet Recovery gathered Tuesday at the public communications forum at Greenville County Square. The gathering comes after the organization's director and three others were arrested.

Photos from the Anakin's Trails Stray and Pet Recovery Facebook page show a dog they named Max. According to the post, Ashley Raymond and Elizabeth Waldrop were trying to save the 13-year-old dog found tied up behind someone's property. The post also highlights that a vet found Max had heart failure and heartworms, and he was euthanized.

"We're here to give max a voice," said Barbara Wally, who is a supporter of Anakin's Trails.
