AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Tuesday, Attorney General Ken Paxton said he filed a lawsuit against Eli Lilly, a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Indiana.

According to the AG’s office, Eli Lilly was accused of “bribing and illegally inducing medical providers to prescribe its most profitable drugs.”

The AG’s office said Eli Lilly offered illegal incentives to medical providers in Texas in an attempt to enhance profits. The listed incentives included “free nurses” and reimbursement support services.
