DALLAS — Well, that was awkward.

A few weeks ago, Rowdy Tellez, one of the newest Texas Rangers , went on 105.3 The Fan's GBAG Nation show for an introductory interview on the team's official radio station. It didn't go too smoothly.

The GBAG crew honed in on Tellez's size -- he's listed at 6'4", 270 pounds -- and asked him how many brisket sandwiches he had eaten. They also apparently referred to him as the "Girthquake or something stupid," according to Tellez, who got asked about the interview while appearing on the national baseball podcast Foul Territory on Tuesday.

He didn't seem too thrilled about the subject.

"I did a radio show when I got here, and they basically told me I was fat," Tellez told Foul Territory. "They tried to be funny and they're not. They're just not funny.
