A suspect was shot during a federal law enforcement operation in Parsippany early Wednesday, Aug. 13, authorities said.

The DEA and its federal partners were executing a court-authorized search warrant in the area of Kingston Road and Route 202/Littleton Road when shots were fired, Parsippany police said in a statement.

One suspect was shot and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No agents were injured.

Video obtained by News12 shows multiple SWAT officers with guns drawn surrounding a home, and a resident slowly emerging with his hands raised.

The raid began around 5:20 a.m., prompting local police to ask residents on Kingston Road between Route 202 and Alloway Road, and on Route 202 between Richards Street and Marcella Road, to remain inside unless contacted by law enforcement.

By 8 a.m., Route 202/Littleton Road had reopened, though Kingston Road between Route 202 and Alloway Road remained closed as the investigation continued.

“This incident is now under investigation and DEA will have no other statements,” the agency said. Any further questions are being referred to the FBI.
