The words in the title are those of my Arabic teacher, Safaa Almadhoun, who I introduced here in June. She is still alive with her husband, Mustafa, and now 7-month-old daughter, Lana, in the manmade hellscape that is Gaza City, Gaza.

Safaa is still teaching me Arabic three times a week. Her grace under the conditions she is experiencing has continued to touch my heart in a profound way.

Having been asked by many to provide an update on her situation, this is my continuing attempt to share with others in our community and beyond the stark reality and humanity of a young, proud Palestinian woman who is living in conditions no human being should have to endure.

For 22-plus months, no running water, no sewer, no electricity, no heat, surrounded by chaos, hunger and death.
