As summer winds down and the new school year approaches, I want to thank you for being part of what makes our city such a great place to live. Whether you’ve spent time enjoying our parks, traveling with family, or participating in programs at the Arts and Recreation Center, I hope you’re feeling recharged and ready for the season ahead.

With students heading back to school, I urge everyone to drive with extra care. Kids will be walking, biking, and boarding buses throughout the city. Please stay alert, follow posted speed limits—especially in school zones—and avoid distractions behind the wheel. A few extra moments of caution can make all the difference in keeping our children safe.
