The Bob Evans restaurant in downtown Massillon has closed permanently.

The restaurant operated at 275 Lincoln Way W.

A reason for the closure was not immediately available.

MASSILLON – The Bob Evans restaurant downtown has closed.

The eatery at 275 Lincoln Way W, which is adjacent to Lillian Gish Boulevard SW, is permanently closed, according to a voice message on the restaurant's Massillon phone number.

The message encourages customers to visit other Bob Evans' nearby restaurants in Stark County, including the Canton eatery on Tuscarawas Street W, as well as the Jackson Township location on Dressler Road NW.

The reason for the restaurant's closure was not immediately available.
