SPARTANBURG, S.C. —

A man in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, has been arrested following an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation, deputies say.

Calvin Johannes Juntunen, 31, is facing 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Deputies say Juntunen knowingly distributed child sexual abuse material using the Kik messaging platform.

According to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began after a series of Cybertipline reports were submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Based on these reports, investigators executed a search warrant at Juntunen’s home, where he admitted to distributing the illegal material.
